Riverwalk Market Fair (RMF)'s mission is to support local farmers and artisans for the benefit of our community. To fulfill our mission, we provide the Northfield community with a weekly Art and Farmers' market from May to October of each year on Saturdays in Bridge Square. We also offer 2 satellite markets, a monthly market on Tuesday evenings at Greenvale Elementary school and a Winter Market at the Northfield Middle School.
The RMF board of directors is a working board that supports the running of summer and winter art and farmers' markets. Our impact is vast, supporting more than 120 local entrepreneurs and small businesses each season, we also run food access programs, education programming, a youth booth, and host musicians weekly. Our market sees about 1200 visitors each summer Saturday from Northfield and far beyond. We are passionate about local art, agriculture, community, and food access. We strive to make a positive impact on all of these categories.
Time Commitment: Board members are expected to attend a monthly 2 hour full board meeting, commit to 1-3 hours of additional committee work, and volunteer at the market and special events through the summer and winter seasons. As a working board, members have an @riverwalkmarketfair.org email address where they communicate regularly and vote on jurying new applicants to RMF which adds up to an additional 2+ hours of board work each month.
If you have time to volunteer and are enthusiastic about local artists, farmers, the environment, food access, entrepreneurship, music, fundraising, volunteer recruitment, or small business, you may be a good fit for our team! Please fill out the form below and we will let you know if a spot opens up on the RMF Board of Directors!
