Featured Farmer:  Schoolhouse Apiary

Laura and Mark Heiman have all their bee yards are kept on organically-managed land and raised without antibiotics or pesticides.  Their honey goes straight from the hive to the bottles with no heating or processing just minimal filtering.  They take great pride in talking to customers about their bees and introducing everyone to the delicious local honey that the bees produce from different flowers.

Fossum Family Farm Alpacas – Vicki Fossum

Fossum Family Farm Alpacas is a full service farm offering animals, boarding, brokering, stud services, mentoring and farm tours.  We purchased our first three alpacas in June 2005 and now have approximately 70 Suri and Huacaya alpacas.

In September 2009, we opened The Alpaca Farm Store on our farm to complete my dream of offering everything from raw alpaca fiber to products made from alpaca fiber including hats, scarves, mittens, socks, blankets, rugs, teddy bears and more.  We also offer rovings and yarn from our animals as well as Alpaca with a twist yarn.

Our farm located just north of Northfield on 320th St. W.
