Schoolhouse Apiary 2016-06-18Schoolhouse Apiary is the family business of Mark and Laura Heiman of Northfield.  Their 25 hives are located near Valley Grove Church in Nerstrand, MN, on organic land abutting Nerstrand State Park, where they’ve been keeping bees for 13 years. They pride themselves on producing pure, raw, local honey, straight from the hive to the jar, and harvest every two or three weeks to capture the changing flavors of the flowering plants and trees as the season changes.  Stop by, try a sample of their latest harvest, and talk bees!

Featured Artist Children’s Author Charlotte Babler of Kids For Thought

Charlotte Babler Kids For Thought 6.11.2016Award-winning children’s author Charlotte Babler describes becoming an author:

”As my three children grew older, I found myself at the end of my career in childcare. I left the life that I knew and loved… I stumbled through my new life with a hole in my heart where all of the children had lived before.  Needing to stay connected, I decided to write about all of the wonderful memories that I had stored of that special time in my life. Each memory holds love, humor, and sweetness. All of my writing stems from the privilege of watching children grow and learn in their world.”
