alpacas

This Week at the Market – July 30

This week at Market Fair we are profiling award-winning pottery artists Chris and Sue Holmquist, oil painter T. Andrew Foster who does colorful, large scale paintings, and Angie’s Accessories that makes jewelry and flower headbands using recycled t-shirts. On the farmer’s side, we are profiling Fossum Family Farm Alpacas who produce unique products like twist yarns. Entertainment this week is the Rockitrangers who perform a variety of Americana genres — including bluegrass, country and folk — played on mand0lin and guitar.

Fossum Family Farm Alpacas – Vicki Fossum

Fossum Family Farm Alpacas is a full service farm offering animals, boarding, brokering, stud services, mentoring and farm tours.  We purchased our first three alpacas in June 2005 and now have approximately 70 Suri and Huacaya alpacas.

In September 2009, we opened The Alpaca Farm Store on our farm to complete my dream of offering everything from raw alpaca fiber to products made from alpaca fiber including hats, scarves, mittens, socks, blankets, rugs, teddy bears and more.  We also offer rovings and yarn from our animals as well as Alpaca with a twist yarn.

Our farm located just north of Northfield on 320th St. W.
