Music by Marty Anderson, Jewelry, Art and Fine Crafts, Handmade Natural Soaps, Local Produce and Artisan Foods at June 24 Riverwalk Market Fair

Music by Marty Anderson, fresh local produce and artisan foods, the area’s finest art and crafts, and the Northfield Public Library Book Bike, all at Riverwalk Market Fair, Saturday June 24 from 9 am to 1 pm, rain or shine, in historic downtown Northfield’s Bridge Square.

 

Seasonal Produce from Local Farmers, Artisan Foods, Art and Fine Crafts

Local farmers have early summer produce including fresh-picked romaine, green and red butter lettuce, Swiss chard, arugula, kale, kohlrabi, fennel, rhubarb, spinach, radishes, green onions, garlic scapes, peas, potatoes, zucchini, cilantro, broccoli, and herbs, as well as local soil-grown tomatoes, handmade natural soaps, and maple syrup.  Artisan foods include fresh-baked breads, delicious sweet and savory pastries, cookies and cupcakes, jams and jellies, and locally roasted coffee.

Wood hand-crafted home accessories, jewelry, fiber art, watercolor paintings, photography, glass art, and pottery are among the fine art and fine craft for sale.  All art and fine crafts are original work, designed and created by the artists.

Crack of Dawn’s yummy cinnamon rolls

Owners Chris and Lori Momberg of Crack of Dawn have been selling at Riverwalk Market Fair since 2011 and their customers have come to know they’ll be there.  They bake items such as breads, rolls, treats, gluten-free foods, and more.  Lori states “Everything we make is 100% from scratch with real ingredients and lots of love!”  Customers come back every week to buy their great tasting baked goods and that’s what keeps the couple striving to prepare quality food.

Featured Artist: Angie’s Accessories                 

  Angie Frawley, who lives in Lonsdale, MN, has been a cornerstone of the market since 2011.  She enjoys making beaded jewelry and headbands for all ages.  Her headbands are made with various fabrics and flowers, using both new and upcycled materials, including headbands made from recycled t-shirts.   Angie takes pride in making affordable items for any age person.

Geralyn Thelen makes beautiful fused glass plates, platters, and garden art. Geralyn has two ways that she can make her art work, either by fusing the glass or kiln fired glass.  Both ways produce a stunning art piece that will make you want to buy at least one item.  She has been selling at the Riverwalk Market Fair since its infancy and enjoys talking with customers about her artistic talents.

            Marty Anderson plays a large mix between classic rock, country, alternative, and Americana.  He resides in Northfield and loves to play his guitar. He has been known to play around town including at The Contented Cow.  He’ll be playing from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday.
