When: Every Saturday, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.; June 1 – October 26 (except Defeat of Jesse James Days, Saturday, September 7)
What: Riverwalk Market Fair is an open-air Saturday market located along the beautiful Cannon River
in historic Northfield, Minnesota. These summer Saturday festivals offer locally grown produce, artisan foods, and a juried selection of art work. Each Saturday offers a different mix of special events, musical entertainment and activities for the whole family.
What to see:
- Arts and fine crafts: paintings, prints, handmade jewelry, photography, ceramics, metal sculpture, wood creations, and wearable art.
- Local and organic farm products: vegetables, herbs, meats, honey, fruit, cut flowers, and eggs.
- Locally produced goods: Alpaca wool knitted items, beeswax candles, wool yarn, and goats milk soaps.
- Delicious foods by local culinary artists: pastries, homemade breads, Scandinavian baked goods, sweet treats, caramels, jams & jellies.
- Live musicians, arts and craft activities for children, food demonstrations, theatrical performers, artists demonstrating their craft, and other family-friendly activities.
Where: Downtown Northfield, Minnesota Northfield along the scenic Cannon River. Northfield is located six miles from Interstate 35 where State Highways 19 and 3 intersect (see driving directions below).
History: Founded in 2010 by local artists and entrepreneurs this one-of-a-kind Saturday open-air market showcases produce from local farmers, artisan foods and a variety of artwork by Northfield area artists. Located downtown along the beautiful Cannon River, the Saturday market has become a gathering place for local residents and a popular destination for visitors from the Twin Cities and the region.
Attendance: Riverwalk Market Fair attracts visitors from the Twin Cities, Faribault, Owatonna, Albert Lea, Red Wing, Rochester, the five-state area and beyond. An estimated 20,000 people attended the Fair last year.

Events: Every Tuesday, a press release is issued that provides a roster of events and highlights for the upcoming Saturday. The list includes that week’s: Featured Farmer, Featured Artist, scheduled Entertainers, Market Partners (local non-profits), Featured Business and Youth Booth participants.

Driving from the Twin Cities: Drive south on Interstate 35 to exit 69, Highway 19. Head east on Highway 19 for six miles until you reach Highway 3. Cross Highway 3 and park after the Cannon River bridge. Takes about 50 minutes.
Driving from Rochester: Take U. S. Highway 52 North to Highway 19 and go west to Northfield. Park downtown and walk west to the river. Takes about an hour.
