Local Produce and Artisan Foods, Art, Fine Craft, and Music all at the June 16th Riverwalk Market Fair Music by Bobby & Christine

Music by Bobby and Christine who sing several types of music; mostly of the Americana genre, but also enjoy instrumental picking songs, and many others.  Limited fresh local produce and artisan foods, the area’s finest art and craft, and the Northfield Public Library Book Bike will all be on hand at the Riverwalk Market Fair, Saturday June 16 from 9 am to 1 pm, rain or shine, in Historic Downtown Northfield’s Bridge Square.

 

Seasonal Produce from Local Farmers, Artisan Foods, Art and Fine Craft

Local farmers will be on hand with fresh-picked micro greens, alpaca fiber, soil-grown tomatoes, bedding plants, handmade natural soaps, and local honey.  Artisan foods include fresh-baked breads, delicious sweet and savory pastries, Greek baked goods, jams and jellies, shaved ice, and locally roasted coffee.

Photography, fiber art, jewelry, wood items, and pottery are among the art and fine crafts for sale.  All art and fine craft is original work, designed and created by the artists.

Featured Farmer:  School House Apiary

            Laura Heiman and family has been selling their great tasting honey and candles at Riverwalk Market Fair.  They have been raising bees in the Cannon Valley for fourteen years.  Their honey is raw, local, and unpasteurized, and raised with out pesticides or antibiotics.

Laura mentioned that her favorite thing about Riverwalk Market Fair is “It’s the best way to spend a Saturday that I can think of.”  When Laura’s not raising bees she can be found teaching out at Holy Cross Catholic School.

Featured Artist:  Aging Schmaging

  Gail Gates has photography, silk scarves, and adult coloring books that will all be for sale at the Riverwalk Market Fair on June 16.  Her photography can run from traditional landscapes to impressionistic manipulated photo art.  The silk scarves that she creates are ongoing and made in small batches.  Some are left in rusty buckets of water, some are felted, and some are painted.  Her adult coloring books were created to inspire and connect people with others.

This is Gail’s first year at the market and everyone is excited to see her enthusiasm and great work.

Music on June 16 from Bobby & Christine

Bobby & Christine will be at the market Saturday playing and singing to the crowd at RIverwalk Market Fair.  They play a wide variety of music from the Beatles to picking songs that they enjoy playing.  They are an acoustic duo featuring two voices and one guitar.
