Local Produce and Artisan Foods, Art and Fine Crafts at June 17 Riverwalk Market Fair Music by Bobby & Christine

Music by Bobby & Christine, fresh local produce and artisan foods, watercolor paintings, the area’s finest arts and crafts, and Northfield Public Library’s Book Bike, at Riverwalk Market Fair, Saturday June 17 from 9 am to 1 pm, rain or shine, in historic downtown Northfield on Bridge Square.

Seasonal Produce from Local Farmers, Artisan Foods, Art and Fine Crafts

Local farmers have early summer produce such as fresh-picked early salad greens, spinach, rhubarb, radishes, kale, green onions, and bedding plants, as well as local soil-grown tomatoes, handmade natural soaps, maple syrup, and honey.  Artisan foods include fresh-baked breads, delicious sweet and savory pastries, spanakopita, cookies, jams and jellies, shave ice, and locally roasted coffee.

Watercolor paintings, photography, fiber art, jewelry, wood items, and pottery are among the art and fine crafts for sale.  All art and fine crafts are original work, designed and created by the artists.

Featured Farmer:  Rebecca’s Greek Kouzina

Rebecca Stoufis has decided to do what she loves and that’s making authentic Greek cuisine!   Rebecca has baked for friends and family since she was a young child.  As a mom and wife of a Greek husband, she enjoys incorporating Greek cuisine into her family’s meals as it’s very important culturally.  Although she grew up in West Virginia and has a beautiful southern accent; her family moved here four years ago and has been selling baked goods at the Riverwalk Market Fair since coming to Northfield.

Featured Artist:  Cannon River Bowl & Spoon

Benjamin Leatham of Cannon River Bowl & Spoon hand crafts gourmet kitchen utensils, bowls, and boards from local woods.  The work he does is beautiful and on his website www.cannonriverbowl.com you can see some of the products he crafts.  As it says on his site, “Surround yourself with things you find beautiful and use them every day.”  With the quality of work, he does and the testimonials from his customers, his work is really one of a kind and something that you’ll strive to use each day.

 

Featured Artist:  Wheelie Awesome Natural Products

Wynne Turner, who lives in Apple Valley, and creates all natural products for the body.  She makes everything; from soaps, deodorants, and body care products.  The aroma coming from her freshly made soap and deodorant is wonderful and perfect for all ages.  Stop by her vendor tent at the Riverwalk Market Fair to see all her beautiful products.
