Featured Farmer:  Lisa Morrigan’s Herb Farm

Lisa Morrigan's HerbsLisa Morrigan has decided to do what she loves!  She has been passionate about gardening and plants since she was a child, even once attending vo-tech to learn how to run a commercial greenhouse.  You can now buy herb plants every week at RMF.  Lisa offers a variety of herbs, and can tell you how to grow them and how to use them—which ones to allow to flower (like chamomile for tea, or borage or calendula for their edible flowers), which one you use to candy the stem (angelica) and all the varieties that make great seasoning, or have other uses (like catnip!).

Featured Artist:  Kathy Miller of K. Miller Watercolors

KathyMillerWatercolorist Kathy Miller creates floral and landscape paintings and limited edition prints.  Her paintings of fruit and flowers are featured on Riverwalk Market Fair’s 2014, 2015, and 2016 posters.  Studio 105, at 105 E. 5th St in downtown Northfield, is Kathy’s newest venture, where she has space to paint, hang her work, and teach watercolor classes.

“All my effort has gone into learning about the medium, and developing a relationship with the paint, paper and paintbrushes.  I am filled with an inner need to convey to others the message of the absolute magnificence of this world we all share.”     http://kmillerwatercolors.com/

Featured Artist:  Jenn Wolcott of Wolcott Art

Jennifer WolcottMetal artist Jennifer Wolcott welds steel into one-of-a-kind arbors, gates, railings, sculpture and distinctive garden structures—including her tall spirals and loops, Lollipops and Curly Qs.  Wolcott’s beautifully crafted steel sculptures have graced homes and gardens throughout Northfield, the Twin Cities and elsewhere. Working with recycled metals as well, old, rusty filing cabinets take on new life as they are cut and painted into colorful, patterned birds.  www.wolcottart.com

Music on June 18 by Parker Ousley

Parker Ousley.lgrParker Ousley grew up in Northfield and began playing cello at age 5.  After studying classical music for 10 years, he joined an amateur folk band as a singer and cellist and later began singing and playing as a solo act.  He and his cello, Jeremy, can be found performing on their own, in the locally-based duo The Triplets, and in Boston-based groups American Housewife and Unauthorized Personnel. His solo act lacks a definitive genre, but would likely fall somewhere between folk, pop, and jazz. Parker is studying cello performance at Berklee College of Music.
