Jewelry, Art and Fine Crafts, Handmade Natural Soaps, Local Produce and Artisan Foods at September 1, 2018 Riverwalk Market Fair

Music by The Accordion Stylings of Leanne; fresh local produce and artisan foods, the area’s finest art and crafts, and the Northfield Public Library Book Bike, all at Riverwalk Market Fair, Saturday September 1 from 9 am to 1 pm, rain or shine, in historic downtown Northfield’s Bridge Square.


Seasonal Produce from Local Farmers, Artisan Foods, Art and Fine Crafts

Local farmers have summer produce including tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, green peppers, sweet peppers, eggplant, patty pan squash, romaine, green and red butter lettuce, cabbage, Swiss chard, arugula, kale, kohlrabi, fennel, snow peas, spinach, radishes, green onions, potatoes, cilantro, broccoli, and herbs, as well as flower and handmade natural soaps.

Artisan foods include fresh-baked breads, delicious sweet and savory pastries, cookies and cupcakes, jams and jellies, and locally roasted coffee.

Jewelry, fiber art, watercolor paintings, photography, glass art, wood-working, and pottery are among the fine art and fine crafts for sale.  All art and fine crafts are original work, designed and created by the artists.

Featured Farmers: Ruthie’s Kitchen

Ruth Edstrom, of Dennison, has been a vendor at Riverwalk Market Fair for several years.  She also knows her way around a kitchen; baking up homemade goodies such as cookies, pies, jams & jellies, and much more!  Ruth also prepares jars of pickles and other savory items.  Be sure to take a gander at her booth on Saturday and you probably won’t leave empty handed!

Featured Artist: Jacque Oman-Clinton

             Jacque Clinton is a new artist for our market in 2018 and has fit in perfectly with her wonderful paintings and drawings.  Jacque describes her illustrations as  “Items that combine painting and drawing, and are like formal portraits.”  She enjoys doing paintings in the spring and summer as she tries to catalog all the living things as they unfold in real time.  If you’d like to preview some of her work, her website is:
