Mexico Folklorico Dance Troup and Harp Music by Hannah Caroline Ballet Mexico Folklorico is rooted in an ongoing dance class at the Northfield Arts Guild where young people learn traditional dances from Mexico. Mexico Folklorico dances tell stories of the various Mexican cultures and the dancers’ colorful full-circle skirts are used to amplify dramatic movements and shapes. The Northfield Mexico Folklorico has explored dances from Nuevo León, Nayarit, Veracruz, Sinloa, Tamaulipas, Durango, Jalisco, and Tabasco. The Folklorico dancers are led by Anna Baez, a teacher with decades of experience in Mexico Folklorico dance, and Kate Stuart.
Hannah Caroline brings captivating classical and traditional Irish harp music to Riverwalk Market Fair on Saturday. Hannah blends lyric harp playing with a clear soprano voice for an enchanting sound. She released her first CD “Flowers of the Mountain” in 2013. Hannah will offer young people a chance to try their hand at the harp.
