Featured Farmers’ Market Vendor Gohlike Family Maple Syrup

Gohlike. Jean 2015-07-25.smThe Gohlike family has been tapping maple trees and making maple syrup for three generations in the same woods near Lonsdale, MN. Their syrup is 100% pure maple syrup with no additives or preservatives. The Gohlikes first cook the syrup in an evaporator over a wood fire, and then they filter, bottle, and seal it. Bottles have a fliptop cap for easy pouring.

Nancy’s skills have developed over years of sewing clothes, and of designing and sewing guard uniforms, flags, theatre costumes, and bridal. Now she enjoys making comfy polar fleece hats with a nod to vintage style, and fabric over-the-shoulder bags with lots of pockets in colorful, bold prints.

Live Music by Josh Ruebeck

Josh Ruebeck.smJosh Ruebeck is a junior at Carleton with a love and appreciation for folk music that belies his youth. A musician since he was 7 years old, Josh gravitated to the music of Woody Guthrie, Phil Ochs and Bob Dylan because of the stories told in those songs. The music inspired him to learn to play the guitar, the cello, and develop his voice into a fine instrument as well. He’ll share his favorite folk songs on Saturday at Riverwalk Market Fair as he busks for the Northfield Area United Way.
