Featured Farmers’ Market Vendor Honey Patch Apiaries

Honey Patch 2015-08-15.smAdam Severson’s bee-keeping hobby has quickly grown into a family pursuit. Adam’s wife, Christina, and their children help to bottle and sell honey, while mother-in-law Jan Dunlap creates candles and beeswax products from the wax. They have been working for the last three years to grow their hives and help pollinate local farms around the Northfield area. Honey Patch Apiaries is passionate about educating the public on the importance of bees and our responsibility to protect these amazing creatures.

Featured Artist Gerie Thelen of Just Me Geralyn and Glass

Gerie 2015-08-08.smFused glass artisan Geralyn Thelen is constantly trying out new ideas and new color combinations, this year making garden stakes in miniature for fairy gardens, and free-form bowls from shards of glass of many colors. A new colorway for her popular serving trays uses an opaque white ground with strips and dots of color that are reminiscent of fall branches and leaves. Gerie’s brightly colored glass creations take many forms—trays, vases, stakes, jewelry, ornaments, and even large-scale collaborative installations.

Featured Artist Brad Paulson of Brad’s Woodworking

Brad's 2015-07-25.smBrad loves to bring out the natural beauty of wood in everything he makes. Seeking out wood with lots of character, he uses wood from farmers and small lumber mills, and creates in simple styles to feature the woods’ grains, knots and colors. Some of his most striking pieces have a natural edge. Making mostly occasional tables and small pieces like cutting boards and wine racks, Brad has been selling his work for about six years and does custom work as well.
