2015-07-18 Carla Kennedy Klaypotz.smCarla Kennedy, aka “klaypotz”, has been working with clay for over 30 years. After years of making “traditional” pots, she discovered the world of handbuilding and colored clay stains that give the work a unique look and feel.

“Playing & having fun while working with the clay is an important part of the process,” Carla says.

In addition to bowls, cups, and platters, Carla makes specialty items such as garden markers, toad houses, olive trays and her ever popular word magnets. www.facebook.com/Klaypotz

Youth Booth 2015

Anna.2015-08-08.smRiverwalk Market Fair supports youth entrepreneurs in the arts, farming, and food arts by providing youth vendors with a tent and a discounted vendor rate. Every year, we have five to ten vendors who are younger than 19. This year’s entrepreneurial artists include Anna, who makes paracord bracelets, and a Rice County youth program called “The Business of Art.” Farmers and food artisans include Alex’s Cakes and PiesLouis.2015-08-15.sm, Louis’ French Crepes, and Green Earth Produce. Come support these enterprising young people who are saving money for buying a farm and for college!

Live Music by Bobby & Christine; Youth Activity by Division Street Dance

Bobby & Christine"Bobby & Christine" are an acoustic duet featuring 2 voices and 1 guitar. Their sets feature well known Americana songs, some instrumental picking originals, lots of harmonies and fairly elaborate arrangements.

You will hear a wide array of ballads and livelier songs from Louis Armstrong to Pete Townshend, from Woody Guthrie to the Beatles. Their simpler tunes are usually dolled up with some riffs, harmonies, stalls, and key changes to keep them moving along.

This week’s Youth Activity will be led by Division Street Dance.
