John Besse of Ruf Acres Farm is in his third year growing tomatoes in his greenhouse. These are real, local, soil-grown tomatoes, grown in raised beds under an industrial-sized greenhouse to allow the plants to start very early and continue to flourish past the usual end of the growing season.  Tomato varieties include Sakura cherry tomatoes, Heirlooms, Pink Beauties, Red Pearl Grape, and more; new this year are Sun Gold cherry tomatoes.  Ruf Acres farms will have fresh, soil-grown tomatoes from Opening Day through the last Riverwalk Market Fair in October, and also sells maple syrup.
